Two years after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the effects of the war are becoming increasingly apparent. The documentary "War on Education" by EuroClio shows the fatal consequences of the war for the Ukrainian education system, an issue that has been mostly neglected by the international media.

In the last two years, over 3,790 schools and kindergartens across Ukraine have been damaged or destroyed.

The systematic bombing of educational institutions, such as museums, archives, and children's daycare centers, is part of an underlying aim to stop Ukrainian national identity and national consciousness from being passed on and communicated. Schools and kindergartens are being targeted, particularly in areas that could not be occupied by the military; already, two thirds of the country's kindergartens have been bombed. In addition, 20,000 children have been forcibly deported to Russia.
