Anna Seidel studied Comparative Literature, Theater Studies, and European Literature at the University of Vienna, Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University in Berlin. Since 2019, she has been working on the literary transformation of urban spaces and practices in cities in states of emergency as part of her PhD at Humboldt University. The project is funded by the German National Academic Foundation. In 2021/22, she completed a research year abroad in Warsaw, where she analyzed literary representations of Warsaw, with a particular focus on highlighting spatial models and imaginaries conveyed in literature.
