PD Dr. Magdalena Waligórska ist Kulturhistorikerin. Derzeit leitet sie am Institut für Europäische Ethnologie der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin eine Forschungsgruppe, die sich mit der Geschichte der osteuropäischen Schtetl beschäftigt. Sie ist die Autorin von Klezmer's Afterlife: An Ethnography of the Jewish Music Revival in Poland and Germany (OUP, 2013) und Cross Purposes: Catholicism and the Political Imagination in Poland (CUP, 2023).
